Meet Lorenzo

I want to thank you for the laptop computer and all the support you have given me. It could not have come at a better time. I have been working in the Behavioral Health and Additional field for over 25 years. I am a certified traditional health worker, certified recovery mentor, and a  qualified mental health associate. I am currently navigating the current health pandemic COVID-19. 

I was working from home on my old laptop until my employment ended. I have been navigating this new world of Zoom meetings and online job search from my laptop until recently when my laptop was broken. This has forced me to use my cell phone to navigate the unemployment online job search system and Zoom meetings. It’s been very difficult. I have  been unable to use my cell phone to navigate some systems like I would on my laptop. 

I have some good news. I got a temporary job as a FEMA Peer Support Specialist through the Mental Health Association of Oregon. I think it will last until June, when funding ends. My orientation is tomorrow. They are trying to get folks as much COVID-19 resources as possible. I also applied for the Peer Support Specialist with Providence Health & Services. I really want to get on board with them to have some stability once again in my life. I look forward to talking with you more. Again, I can't thank you enough.
