Tech Support Help Desk Closed - Phone and Email Support Available
Due to COVID-19 concerns, Tech Support's help desk is closed and devices may be checked in by appointment only. If you have a device currently checked in with Tech Support, please contact us about scheduling a time to pick it up. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The warranty period for computers received through our community programs or purchased from our brick-and-mortar store has been extended by 6 months.

We are experiencing a high volume of support requests but are working to respond as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
We provide technical support on most systems obtained from Free Geek, provided (a) no major changes to hardware have been made and (b) the system has the same operating system as at the time of purchase.
Free Geek provides technical support for:
- 6 months for computers purchased from The Free Geek Store (our brick-and-mortar store).
- 1 year for computers obtained through the Hardware Grants, Volunteer, or Plug into Portland programs.
Please ensure your computer is covered by the policy above before contacting Free Geek Tech Support.
To receive technical support, ensure that your computer meets the requirements outlined above. Then contact us one of the following ways, making sure to leave your name, contact information, and a short description of your problem.
